CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Felicia Hall Allen continues to lend her voice and passion to helping others succeed. Allen joined a select group invited to speak at the 2014 NCAA/NACWAA Women’s Leadership Symposium, where she presented on Polishing Your Professional Edges: Tips on Social & Dining Etiquette.
The event, developed for “women aspiring to or just beginning a career in intercollegiate athletics”, featured administrators and coaches from colleges and universities in the Charlotte-Area, including University of North Carolina Charlotte Athletic Director Judy Rose, North Carolina State Athletic Director Debbie Yow, retired Directors of Athletics Dick Baddour (University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill) and Nelson Bobb (University of North Carolina-Greensboro) who presented on the value of leveraging your mentors.
Allen, presenting on May 20, guided the audience through a discussion on the proper professional etiquette for use at receptions and sit-down meal functions, such as interviews, banquets, professional dinners.

About Leadership Symposium
The Women’s Leadership Symposium was originally created in 2001 by Horizon League Senior Associate Commissioner Alfreeda Goff and was held for women at colleges and universities in the Horizon League. Beginning in 2013, NACWAA took on oversight of symposium programming with assistance from the NCAA. This program aims to enrich participants’ skills, expand their professional network and promote the recruitment and retention of women working in intercollegiate athletics administration. This program will ask participants to take an active role in exploring: Personal Branding, Leadership, Title IX, Diversity Education, Career Advancement/Mapping
