Close to 200 College Basketball Coaches from Across the Country Take A STEP UP in Charlotte to Elevate the Game and Their Performance

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 9, 2016) – For the last six years, Johnny and Felicia Allen of Felicia Hall Allen & Associates have provided a professional forum for men’s and women’s college assistant basketball coaches to share ideas, tips and strategies on how to develop the traits that Championship teams and staffs consistently exhibit.

On May 9-11, 2016, hundreds of assistant coaches from California to Vermont will convene at the Omni Hotel in uptown Charlotte (N.C.) for A Step Up 2016. The symposium offers a forum specifically designed to offer professional development to college assistant basketball coaches.

The three-day professional development symposium will feature some of the nation’s top assistant coaches. An on-court skills development clinic to kick off the event on May 9 from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm at Johnson C. Smith University (Brayboy Gymnasium). The on court skills development clinic features former WNBA Championship and Hall of Fame Coach Lin Dunn, Fred Chmiel (SEC Champions – South Carolina), Kelly Bond (former National Champions -Texas A&M) and Charlton Young (Florida State). Other speakers include Loyola Marymount’s head coach Mike Dunlap formerly of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Felicia Hall Allen and Associates Brings Together Head Coaches, Sports Psychologists, Executive Coaches and the Center for Creative Leadership to Explore Critical Issues and Trends Shaping College Basketball

Charlotte, N.C. (May 9, 2016) – Johnny and Felicia Allen of Felicia Hall Allen & Associates will host its’ first-ever Head Coaches Leadership Academy for college head basketball coaches, May 11-13, 2016 in Charlotte, N.C. The three day leadership academy will focus on leadership strategies, coaching philosophies and insights as well as critical issues and trends that are shaping the game. “Leaders are learners,” says Felicia Hall Allen, Symposium Director. Co-Director, Johnny Allen, added, “it’s what you learn, after you become a servant leader that takes us to new realms of thinking, aligning and exploring new possibilities for growth.”

The Center for Creative Leadership (Greensboro, NC) and premiere sponsor Charlotte based, Worth Financial Group are partnering with FHA & Associates to put on the Leadership Academy. Johnny and Felicia Allen also host a professional development symposium for assistant college basketball coaches, which they held since 2010. The symposium takes place in Charlotte as well, May 9-11.
